JOIN US FOR A NIGHT OF FILM AND MUSIC

Welcome to the first annual Hudson Valley Short Film Festival!! This spring festival is brought to you by SUNY New Paltz and Hawk Studios. Come join us for a night of live music, open mic, fun activities, and an incredible film festival. Bring your own drinks, snacks and friends. If you don't have friends they will be provided. There is ample space for frolicking or to throw down your blanket to just relax and enjoy the show.

We are committed to promoting filmmaker’s who live or work in the Hudson Valley. We can't wait to showcase some incredible local talent. The films will be judged by a selected panel and awards will be presented at the end of the night. The festival will start at 6pm on May 2nd 2024.

Come enjoy a cool spring night with live music and incredible films. Snacks and drinks may be provided but bring anything else you want.

RULES

1. Submission must be more than 1 minute long but less than 30 minutes.
2.  The film has to have been made within the year (Sept 2023 - April 2024).
3. If film was previously shown at Hawk Studio's Festival in December 2023, You cannot re-submit.
4. If the film has graphic violence or excessive flashing lights that might trigger epilepsy etc, the film must create a title card in the beginning warning viewers.
5. Film must be an mp4 or mov.
6. All film submissions will be reviewed and those that pass the first round of selections will be presented at the Hawk Studios Film Festival.
*If these rules are not followed, The Hawk Studios E-Board can take a film out of consideration for the festival. The Hawk Studios E-Board do not determine the results of the award ceremony and will not know the results until the night of the film festival just like everyone else.
